CPR Training FAQs
While you’re probably eager to get started with in-person, hybrid, or online CPR certification, we understand you might have questions about certification and recertification courses. Here are some frequently asked questions about CPR training.
Is the Online CPR Certification Legitimate?
The answer is typically no. Currently the AHA does not accredit, approve, nor endorse any fully remote online CPR certification or renewal course. The AHA requires an in-person, hands-on skills assessment as part of their certification program, which is not accessible online. However, due to COVID-19, the AHA has temporarily adjusted these guidelines. In order to be issued a certification eCard, the fully online CPR certification course must observe the same standards as cited above, which include instructor-led courses and the use of the same required equipment and materials.
How Do Online CPR Courses Work?
Whether you’re interested in online ACLS courses, BLS courses, or PALS courses, you can expect the same virtual classroom setup across the board. Our instructors use two HD cameras to optimize the experience for online learners. Since much of the training is meant to be used in emergency situations requiring teamwork, we encourage online learners to collaborate in problem-solving. Using the cameras, instructors may present to the class during online CPR training as they would if the students were sitting in the same room, as well as switch to a dummy view so that students can closely observe the techniques required to save a life during a cardiac event. All online students purchase or rent their own hands-on equipment, which allows instructors to monitor and evaluate success. Upon successful class completion, students earn an official AHA Provider eCard.
How Long Does CPR Certification Last?
CPR certification lasts two years. Your certification card is valid until the end of the month in which the card was issued. Once those two years are up, you must take a recertification course to remain compliant and maintain your knowledge. ACLS offers BLS, ACLS, and PALS renewal courses, both in-person and online.
How Long Does CPR Certification Take?
All CPR certification courses typically take place over several hours throughout the course of one day. The exact time it takes to complete the course depends on several factors such as equipment to student ratios and the number of students to instructor ratio. At Jurman Medical, the quality of training is our top priority, which is why instructors ensure enough time is dedicated for students to learn the skills and training needed to save lives.
Where Can I Get Online CPR Certification?
Healthcare Professionals can get their Online CPR Certification done fast and easily from anywhere in the world. In-person CPR Training has almost become a thing of the past, Jurman Medical supplies crucial course materials and equipment. The AHA Certification process requires students taking all online CPR training to participate in the same capacity as students attending in-person training classes. Participants seeking issuance of an official AHA eCard can simply register via the Jurman Medical website. Once registered, students can rent or purchase the required hands-on equipment needed to meet AHA Provider card standards.
What is the Cost of Online CPR Training?
The cost of CPR Certification and Online CPR Certification are relatively the same. Online AHA courses offering issuance of a provider eCard must meet stricter requirements. These requirements include the use of a feedback manikin and AED Trainer. In-Person CPR, Online CPR Certification and renewal courses range from $50-$325 depending on the class or bundle.
Jurman Medical provides various types of American Heart Association approved CPR Certification Courses, First Aid Training Courses & BLS Certification Courses. These course types include online, on-site and blended options - we provide as much flexibility as we can for our customers.
